In these five active sessions based on Hebrews 12:1-3, kids learn to follow Jesus as they run God’s race and never give up.

1. Get Rid of the Junk!
To be able to run God’s race well, we need to throw off everything that hinders us in our race of life. We need to get rid of the junk that slows us down from following Jesus.

2. Don’t Mess With Sin!
To get rid of the sin that so easily entangles us, we need to first accept God’s free gift of salvation. Then we need to ask God to cut us free from sins that bind us. We learn about getting rid of sin, and we confess our sins.

3. Don’t Quit!
Sometimes life is great. Nothing goes wrong and we have no problems. But other times we come to hurdles in our path. Big obstacles make us want to give up and quit. God calls us to run with endurance the race marked out for us.

4. Trust Jesus!
Amy Carmichael told the story of a boy who faced a terrifying operation and learned to trust Jesus. Each of us needs to trust Jesus and not be afraid of storm clouds such as fighting, death, or pain.

5. Run for the Prize!
Sometimes we might feel like we’re invisible, like we’re not that great at anything and no one really notices us. But God does! He will reward us! If we are faithful to Him, He will give us a prize!

Through five active lessons on prayer, kids understand that God loves them and wants to answer their prayers in powerful ways.

1. Praise God
Kids learn about praising God and give praise and thanks to God in a variety of fun, active ways.

2. Pray for Your Heart
Kids pray for God to change their hearts to become more like Him. They confess sins and talk to God about their emotions and needs.

3. Pray for Your Home
Kids pray for their families and trust God to bless each person in their family and heal those who are hurting.

4. Pray for Your Town
Kids pray for God to move in powerful ways to bring blessing and change to their town.

5. Pray for the World
Kids pray for people in other countries of the world, asking God to stop wars and diseases and bring many people to Himself.

Kids participate in five fun lessons that help them grow in hearing God’s voice and sharing His words with others.

1. Listening to God
In 1 Samuel 3:1-10 Samuel learned to hear God’s voice. Kids today can also learn to hear God speak. In this session they have opportunity to practice hearing God’s voice.

2. Why God Speaks
Kids learn from 1 Corinthians 14:1,3 that God speaks through people to always build-up, cheer-up and draw other people near to Him. They continue to practice listening to God and speaking His words.

3. How God Speaks
God speaks to us in many ways. We see how He speaks through ways like words, pictures, and feelings. Kids practice listening to God’s message through various ways.

4. Powerful Listening
God gives his power to say his words that will be powerful in people’s lives. In this session kids practice hearing and saying God’s powerful words to one another.

5. Listening for Others
Anyone who is God’s child can listen to Him for other people. Kids practice in a variety of ways to hear what God wants to say through them to encourage and build others up.

Based on The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman, kids learn, experience, and practice each of the five love languages.

1. Words of Affirmation
In this session kids are introduced to the five love languages and then practice using kinds words to encourage people. They discuss ways to do this and create a special card to give to someone.

2. Acts of Service
How can we serve people in practical ways? In this session kids plan and create a “coupon book” of acts of service for someone they love.

3. Receiving Gifts
Kids discuss different kinds of gifts that might be meaningful to give to someone they love, and they create a gift to give.

4. Quality Time
What does it mean to spend quality time with someone? Kids brainstorm ideas and plan a special “together time” with someone they love.

5. Physical Touch
Kids discuss how appropriate touch, like welcomed hugs and kisses, can be very meaningful to some people. They also review the five love languages and think about which love languages are most important to themselves and people they love.
